Quick Tip: Abyss uses TPS-style aiming. Good tracking matters almost as much as raw stats.

Table of Contents

Basic Fishing Mechanics

  1. Equip your harpoon gun
  2. Aim with your crosshair and lead moving fish slightly
  3. Fire in short, controlled shots
  4. Stay close enough to keep accuracy high
  5. Cash out often if the dive is going well
  • Damage decides how hard each hit lands
  • Cooldown decides how quickly you can shoot again
  • DPS reflects total pressure over time
  • Control makes difficult fish easier to finish cleanly

Gun Progression

Early Game

Replace the Bottle Gun quickly and save for Advanced Gun as your first real DPS spike.

Mid Game

Advanced Gun is the workhorse. Push into stronger fish only when your oxygen route supports it.

Late Game

Ruined Gun and Plunger Gun are the real endgame targets.

Combat Techniques

Leading Shots

Aim ahead of fast fish instead of directly at them.

Close Range

Shorter distance means cleaner accuracy and fewer wasted shots.

Target Priority

Focus valuable fish first instead of clearing low-value targets out of habit.

Oxygen Discipline

Never turn a clean dive into a greedy one just because the fish is almost dead.
