Treatment and Shift Flow

Animal Hospital shifts get harder because more checks, rooms, and emergency events unlock over time. A team that treats the wrong patient quickly usually loses more than a team that verifies slowly.

Quick Tip: Before using a treatment item, say the symptom out loud or check it on the computer so the wrong inventory item does not kill momentum.

Treatment Rules

  • Match the treatment to the listed condition instead of guessing from the patient model.
  • Do not interact with a patient while holding a random item if the game can treat from inventory.
  • Use Fire Extinguisher for fire events and do not let one player hoard it if another room is burning.
  • Use Taser or Gun as defensive tools, not as diagnosis shortcuts when a safer check is available.
  • Use Coffee and Chocolate as sanity tools before vision and judgment get worse.

Shift Unlocks to Respect

Fandom shift notes describe early shifts as tutorial-like, then add systems such as shutter/camera checks, taser, emergency wing, shop access, and special events. Treat each unlock as a new checklist item, not just a new toy.

SystemWhy It Matters
CamerasSome anomalies only show camera-side signs.
ShutterLets you stop unsafe patients before they enter.
TaserUseful against confirmed hostile threats.
Emergency wingRaises urgency because critical patients can die quickly.
