Apocrypha Race Tier List — S, A, B, C, D Ranked
All 8 Apocrypha races ranked S to D based on the DivineTemple community tier list and cross-referenced with the strongest class-race synergies. This list assumes you are playing PvP Battle Royale or end-game open-world PvE — open-world casual play weights different races more leniently.
Quick Tip: Darkin and Elemyn are the only S-tier races. Darkin is for PvP; Elemyn is for magic burst.
Table of Contents
S-Tier Races
S-tier races are the strongest in their respective niches. Both are rare or legendary, and both have a signature passive that defines a playstyle.
- Darkin (S) — Martial Arts + 7s free dodge. The most consistent duelist passive in the game. Best for PvP and Battle Royale.
- Elemyn (S) — Solar Beam + Sunlight Regen. The strongest magic race. Best for Spellblade, magic DPS, and PvE bossing.
A-Tier Races
A-tier races are not S-tier because they have a counter or a niche restriction, but they are still excellent in most content.
- SightWeaver (A) — Oracle Eye + Telekinesis + Foresight. The best 'info + utility' race. Outplays opponents by knowing HP and disrupting positioning.
- Serpent's Fang class is also rated A for the spear class itself — but here we are ranking races.
- Human (B in tier list, but A in safety) — Respire passive. The only Common race with a clutch save. High B for new players.
B-Tier and C-Tier Races
B and C tier races are usable but not min-max picks. They have a specific utility but a clear weakness that holds them back.
- Grimlikin (C) — Parkour kit + Reflective Roll. Great for traversal, weak in combat.
- Hive (C) — Swarm + Consume Decay. Defensive skirmisher; fire weakness hurts.
D-Tier Races — Skip Unless You Want the Cosmetic
D-tier races are high-rarity but low-impact. Pick them for cosmetics or open-world casual play — not for competitive.
- Bertu Lurian (D) — Flight only. Epic rarity, but no combat scaling.
- Revenant (D) — Second Wind self-revive, but you hand the killer a heal. Bad trade.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Human really only B-tier?
Yes, in pure combat. The Respire passive saves you from one-shots but contributes zero DPS. For new players the safety nets make it feel A-tier, but experienced players will reroll for Darkin or Elemyn.
Should I reroll for Elemyn?
If you want to play Spellblade or any magic build, yes. Elemyn is the only race that scales Solar Beam + Supernova into the magic-stat curve.
Can I switch races later?
No race-change mechanic is in the game yet. You commit on creation.
