Broken Blade's race system is what separates meta from non-meta. S-tier races do not just have higher stats — they actively reshape how specific weapons perform. Below is the full tier list with playstyle notes.

S-Tier Races

S-tier races define the meta. They all share one trait: they make a specific weapon class scale harder than any other setup.

  • Elf — sword-focused. The cleanest weapon synergy in the game. Strongest when paired with Dragon Slayer or Hollow Blade.
  • Nether — burst-focused. Converts attacks into results faster than any other race. Dominates 650B-HP boss fights with the V-move.
  • Veneer — katana-focused. Best farming race in the game. Pairs best with Moon Cut or Storm Katana.

A-Tier Races

  • Flame — aggressive DPS, consistent across all fights. Lacks the specialized scaling of S-tier.
  • Frost — control / survivability hybrid. Great in extended fights.

B-Tier Races

  • Dwarves — defensive / stability. Beginner-friendly.
  • Giant — tanky / heavy. Good in extended fights, weak in clear-speed.

C-Tier Races

  • Human — starter race. Functional but offers no synergy. Reroll asap.
