Labor Type Comparison (Ryō/Hour)
Each labor location has different base Ryō/hour, peak time of day, and skill requirements. Here's the order from highest to lowest Ryō/hour at each tool tier:
- Wheat Field (Day) — 90 Ryō/hr base, scales to 220 at iron tool
- Rice Paddy (Dawn/Dusk) — 75 Ryō/hr base, scales to 200 at iron tool
- Fishing Dock (Night) — 110 Ryō/hr base but requires night spawn
- Berry Picking (Forest) — 60 Ryō/hr base, lowest scaling but no competition
Tool Upgrade Priority
Tool upgrades are the highest-ROI purchase for any labor type. The order matters: Wood → Bronze is +25% efficiency, Bronze → Iron is +40%, Iron → Steel is +60%. Always save for the next tool tier before spending on land or cosmetics.
